Barcode
A two dimensional pattern using a variety of symbols that are read by optical scanners. Barcodes are printed on products to register current locations and to systematically track and trace movement throughout the supply chain. Each barcode has a serialized number which provides detailed information about its origins and whereabouts. Digitizing information allows visibility as products move from manufactuering facilities and different locations across the globe. Serialization and barcodes help minimize and prevent grey market diversion, leakages, and counterfeits.
