Licensing Authentication Success with OpSec InSight™
Tag Every Licensed Product
Every product is tagged with a data-enabled label or hangtag
At the point of manufacturing, each Licensee would place the data-enabled authentication device on the officially licensed product. Each authentication device contains a human- or machine-readable unique identification number created through Track InSight™.
Declare Usage of UIDs
Assign product data to each unique identifier
Utilizing Trace InSight™, Licensors may request Licensees to assign product information to the UID. One-at-a-time or in bulk, Licensees can assign information ranging from general (i.e. product category) to the SKU-level specific. In addition, authentication devices that were destroyed in manufacturing can be recorded and identified as scrapped product.
Royalties are Paid
A royalty is paid by the Licensee to the Licensor for each officially licensed product
Per the contractual agreement between Licensor and Licensee, the appropriate royalty is calculated in a licensed management system such as Trademark InSight™. Trademark InSight can calculate royalties based on the contract attributes including geography, category, product and guarantees. The system returns an invoice to which royalties are paid to the Licensor.
