HR Advisor (EMEA)

Position Summary:

The HR Advisor is responsible for providing HR support to employees and managers, delivering best practice solutions in support of the business functions. This role works closely with the HR Functional Areas and HR Business Partners to manage an array of critical HR processes and initiatives.


  • Utilize the HRIS system to manage administrative tasks; assist employees with inquiries related to data and systems access, usability, and report generation; update, input and audit employee data; collate payroll and absence data
  • Assist with the talent acquisition process, which may include posting recruitments, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, tracking, reporting, and onboarding new hires
  • Provide guidance and direction on employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation; support leadership in disciplinary and grievance procedures, and maternity/paternity/flexible working requests
  • Support with background checks, both initial and annual; to be conducted as per company requirement
  • Arrange routine occupational health reviews, ensuring that the required monitoring is conducted, and any issues are dealt with; as well as liaise with the HSSE Department
  • Support the absence management process, including arranging and attending reviews, ensuring RTW forms are on file, drafting invitation/outcome letters etc. and escalating any concerns to the HR Manager
  • Source, arrange and book training courses when required; update the training matrix/database
  • Assist with the employee exit process, including exit interviews, notifications to internal departments, and offboarding employees
  • Provide support during annual processes such as performance reviews, compensation planning, and goal setting
  • Assist with benefits administration, including employee changes/updates, salary sacrifice schemes and compliance initiatives
  • Work to enhance and drive the employee experience focusing on ways to improve service to our employees
  • Complete ad-hoc projects, reporting and tasks as required that will providing the opportunity to work on cross-functional HR teams, working on or leading projects/programs
  • Work with HR colleagues to identify ways to further share resources, create efficiencies and develop synergies in the HR function
  • Support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change
  • Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance; partner with leadership to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of HR operations experience; proven experience as an HR Generalist/HR Operations, including recruitment activities
  • Thorough knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations and the ability to translate this into practical solutions for a client group
  • Must be able to work with individuals at all levels in the organization and throw equal enthusiasm behind the more routine, hands-on activities as well as those requiring a higher profile
  • Professional HR Certification highly desired

Organizational Alignment:

  • Reports to an HR Manager
  • This position does not have direct staff management responsibilities at this time.
