Official figures for the number of vehicles reported as cloned rose by over 280% between 2013 and 2019. Car-cloning occurs when criminals want to disguise the identity of a car, typically because it is stolen, and often facilitates other criminal activity, such as drug dealing and people trafficking.
OpSec® ChromEx is a secure hot-stamping foil designed for application to license plates to help the fight against illegal activity and secure the link between vehicle and registered owner. ChromEx can be applied to almost any existing license plate by means of hot stamping. This ensures that the hologram cannot be removed from the license plate without destruction.
