Apparel & Luxury Secure Product Tracking
Secure the Supply Chain
The ability for owners and manufactures of apparel and luxury product to track the production of each factory is critical in combating over-production and grey market diversion. Serialization provides a means for the controlled distribution of products, materials, and components from placement of a purchase order to distribution of the finished goods.
- Capture Full Royalty Revenues – The security labels applied to apparel and luxury items for authentication are serialized to track and trace its use for every production run. The accurate reporting of units authorized for production by each contract manufacturer enables brand owners to capture full royalty revenues from their licensees.
- Detect Over-Production – The number of security labels used is matched to the number of units manufactured. If an excess of labels is identified, the brand owner is aware of the possibility that the factory is selling the overage out the back door.
- Track Grey Market Diversion – A suspicious product bought in the marketplace can be tracked back with its serial number to the factory, date, and location of manufacture. By identifying the sources of grey market diversion, brand owners can achieve greater visibility, accountability, and control throughout the supply chain.
