This role is also open to those who do not have previous experience in a quality role and/or a manufacturing environment.  We will consider applications from hard working individuals who have an interest in securing a role in quality.

The quality department are seeking a QC Technician to perform specific testing relating to quality for:

  • Incoming goods and materials
  • Production
  • Lab based testing of finished product
  • Record keeping and filing
  • Analysis of data

The duties and responsibilities are to:

  • To work with a minimum of supervision performing Quality Control testing
  • To carry out routine testing in a reliable and repeatable manner for:
    • Incoming goods and materials
    • Finished products and sub-assemblies
  • To work as part of the Quality team ensuring continuous improvement in quality standards are achieved and that information is effectively passed at shift handovers
  • To collate information and data as required in support of Root Cause Analysis where defects or problems are identified
  • To assist the Quality Manager with customer initiated complaints/investigations.
  • Contribute positively to an operations team culture of continuous improvement and promoting an inclusive and motivational management style
  • Support development and maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment

Candidates should:

  • Have awareness and understanding of Quality Control and Quality Assurance
  • Have previous experience working as part of a team
  • Be IT Literate – able to use MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Be a competent user of MS Excel - Must be able to create tables, charts and use basic functions to analyse data.
  • Be capable of prioritising daily workload and ensure that deadlines are met
